Micro-finance impact assessment in the frame of the Community-led Coastal Management in the Gulf of Mottoma Project

The impact assessment study was conducted by MKM for HELVETAS in May 2017. Scope of work undertaken by MKM was data collection team training, collection of quantitative and qualitative data in 2 pilot villages in Tha Htone Township where partners of Helvetas microfinance projects are working, data management, data analysis, report writing, facilitating partnership assessment workshop, finding presentation to HELVETAS and her partners in English as well as in Burmese and translating the report written in English into Burmese. In terms of data collection, MKM collected data by holding face to face interviews with 90 households in each village, resulting in a total of 180 households for two villages. During data collection, interviews were performed by using tablets in which AKVO flow data collection software was installed. What is more, we also conducted a total of 10 KIIs, 5 community discussions and one partnership assessment workshop. We presented key findings and draft report on time. Then, MKM delivered a finalized report on time.
