In
October 2017, MKM conducted baseline study in Dawei area and in December
completely finished. MKM’s contributions to the baseline study were adapting
quantitative data collecting tools in collaboration with CFMM, and providing
data collection team training, data collection, data management, data analysis,
report written in English and finding presentation to CFMM and local
organization staffs. During data collection, MKM visited a total of 545
households in 22 villages in three townships in Dawei where CFMM was
intervening the project in partnership with a local organization called
FutureLight (FL). Face-to-face interviews were held with mothers at ages of
15-49 with at least one under five child, children aged at 6-14, youths aged at
15-24 and village authorities. The study designated the data collection in line
with LQAS sampling method. After collecting data, MKM’s data management team
with 7 members conducted quality control checks and data entry. After that,
MKM’s lead researcher performed logical checks by employing SPSS to have a
clean data set and analyze the data with respect to the required project
indicators. Meanwhile, assistant lead researcher wrote report in English and
visually presented main findings to CFMM and local organization staffs.
