Dr Khin Myo Wai

Dr. Khin Myo Wai is an
Assistant Lead Researcher of Myanmar Knowledge Management Co., Ltd specialized
in household surveys, research data collection, data analysis for health,
justice and livelihood issues. She began her career as a Tutor at Department of
Statistics in Yangon University of Economics in 2009 and left in 2013. In 2016
May, as a Research Manager, she joined Ethnography project conducted by Enlightened
Myanmar Research Foundation (EMRef) in collaboration with World Bank, which
studied Qualitative Social and Economic Monitoring in terms of qualitative
form. She was awarded by her first bachelor degree in Population Studies by
Yangon University of Economics in 2005 and Master degree in 2007. In 2016, she
earned Ph.D in Demography awarded by College of Population Studies in
Chulalongkorn University at Bangkok in Thailand, where the topic of her thesis
was 'Impact of Social Support Networks on Loneliness among the Older Persons in
Myanmar'. She published the paper on "Prevalence of Loneliness among the Older
Persons in Myanmar" in Journal of Demography organized by College of Population
Studies. Most of research she carried out is quantitative research while she
has experience in qualitative data analysis.
